On May 30, 2013, the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) ruled in the cases of two men, Jovica Stanišić and Franko Simatovic, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Bosnian War. The accused were associates of former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic and headed his secret police.
