The Education Department’s Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) formulates federal postsecondary education policy and administers programs to promote reform, innovation, and improvement in postsecondary education; to increase access to postsecondary education and college completion rates; and to expand global competencies that advance the economic and competitive status of the United States. OPE includes three divisions: Higher Education Programs (HEP), International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE), and Policy, Planning, and Innovation (PPI).
