Council of State Governments
The Council of State Governments (CSG) is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that serves U.S. state governments (i.e., state legislatures, state courts, and executive branch officials and agencies) as well as the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands (commonwealths), Guam, and the Virgin Islands. Headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, CSG is the only national-level organization serving all three branches of state government. As a regionally based organization, CSG promotes the exchange of ideas to help state officials shape public policy and better serve their constituents.
