Abstract
In October, an accidental fatal shooting on the set of the indie film Rust led to debates over the film industry’s health, safety, and labor protection protocols when it was revealed that crew members had already raised concerns over live ammunition being used on set. This short case details the accident within the context of employee safety and asks students to discuss who ought to be held accountable and how this can be prevented from happening again.
