Where’s the Beef? A Case Study of Taco Bell

Abstract

In 2011, a class action lawsuit claimed that Taco Bell was not using ground beef in its tacos according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture definition. The case centres on Taco Bell’s unusual decision to respond aggressively with both print ads and on social media stressing that there was nothing wrong with Taco Bell’s beef.
