What Does Retailers’ Post-pandemic Future Hold?

Abstract

This case discusses how retailers have adapted operations in response to COVID-19 pandemic-related in-person shopping restrictions, and benefited from increased online demand. Supporting resources examine retail trends and explore the specific examples of Amazon and Home Depot. Students are asked to identify how some retailers sustained (or grew) business and to suggest post-pandemic customer retention strategies.
