Abstract

This case discusses how a quick-growing company involved all of its employees to develop a mission statement and philosophy that reflected shared values and common goals. After austerity measures set in, employees begin to question the lack of employment security as a pillar within the company philosophy, and suggested formalising workshops in the style of a works council with union representatives.

This case was prepared for inclusion in SAGE Business Cases primarily as a basis for classroom discussion or self-study, and is not meant to illustrate either effective or ineffective management styles. Nothing herein shall be deemed to be an endorsement of any kind.
