Abstract

This case considers the interplay between the concept of loyalty and the ethical requirements of “whistle blowing.” It presents an example situation that takes place in a police department and provides a sample ethical dilemma that could be extrapolated to any setting. Louis Anderson, a senior police department official, must consider the implications of “whistle blowing” his superior, the police chief.
