Khalil Tawil and Umi (B): The End of the Line

Abstract

The case follows Khalil Tawil (Yale Law ‘19) after the closure of his startup Umi Kitchen, a venture intended to connect producers of home-cooked meals to consumers via digital marketplace like eBay. The case is told from Khalil’s own voice as he reflects on his entrepreneurial journey and the lessons he learned from the failure of Umi Kitchen.
