FleetWear’s Dilemma

FleetWear’s Dilemma

This case presents a scenario for a fictional organization called FleetWear, a publicly-traded US-based athletic clothing manufacturer. The company’s executive team is faced with a crisis in a foreign supplier’s garment plant, and this crisis is both a humanitarian concern and an immediate public relations concern for FleetWear. As the new Chief Executive Officer of the company, you must decide how to handle both the situation abroad and the concerns at home from the media, your board, the public, and your employees. Moreover, this situation causes you to be seriously concerned about the management team you have inherited at FleetWear.
