Entrepreneurship in Islamic Practices: A Case Study

Lawal is a Nigerian-Muslim cleric, whose income comes from his activities as an Imam within his ethnic community in the UK. The case illustrates how an entrepreneur can thrive at the crossroad of religion, medicament, and tradition within the Yoruba (Nigerian) community in London. The attendant tension generated at this crossroad is weighing heavily on the mind of Lawal, who is contemplating other means of income generation and the obstacles he may face.
