Developing Collective Organizational Knowledge on Artificial Intelligence to Gain a Strategic and Competitive Advantage

Abstract

Organizations, regardless of industry, are making advancements within the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This can vary in use, from including AI in the organization’s products and selling to customers, to using platforms with AI functionality to make more data-driven organizational decisions. Despite the increasing impact of AI, organizations still struggle with understanding its power, while also struggling to hire talent with experience and knowledge within the subject, securing data in alignment with greater focus globally on data protection, and effectively educating customers and current employees on its benefits to aid in greater adoption. While organizations are reaping benefits from AI, many challenges still and will exist in utilizing it properly now into the future to enhance organizations with their overall business models while also gaining a competitive advantage.
