It was a foggy December morning typical of New Delhi. Narayan the head of the Telecom vertical of Market Dynamics (MD) had just returned from the business trip. It was the last quarter of the 2014 and this would be a busy month. However, as of now his thoughts were directed towards the discussion that he wanted to have with Sidhdhant, the new recruit in his department. Narayan had to work on the analysis plan for the telecom research project of Corey Walter and Patterson (CWP) the well-known management consulting firm. In normal course, Narayan would not have worked on data analysis plan. However, his chief analyst Rajesh was on leave and CWP had requested for an early delivery of the report. As, he sipped his coffee, Narayan remembered his first days in MD, when he loved to get his hands dirty on actual data, design the analysis plan, do the analysis and even write and compile the final report. However, his responsibilities have changed over the years and he seldom got to work on specific projects. As he remembered those days fondly, suddenly Narayan felt a rush of adrenalin. He again started going through his notes as he expected Sidhdhant to walk in.
