Abstract
BIPOFoods Inc., a Canadian business in the processed pork and bison meats industry, wishes to expand and grow its business internationally by implementing a coaching program to transform organizational culture, employee engagement, and business results. Jedda Setag, the new CEO of BIPOFoods Inc., creates her new leadership team in her first 90 days at the company and introduces a new senior human resources leadership role that never previously existed. Jedda comes with a vision of human capital development as a strategy for organizational performance. In no time, the vice president of human resources creates two directorates: one led by a director of HR and the other led by a director of organizational and talent development. As organizational performance support is taking on a new meaning at BIPOFoods Inc., implementing a new coaching program is encouraged and strongly sponsored by senior leadership. This endeavor is both exciting and daunting as skill development was never a priority at BIPOFoods Inc. and coaching was ineffectively used to support people development. Students will take on the role of the director of organizational and talent development to recommend next steps for implementing a coaching program that supports leadership and transversal skills in managers and employees as well as succession planning.
