Abstract
David is an outside consultant, tasked with helping a Ukrainian manufacturer import and develop a rice-type snack chip for the Ukrainian market. As he assists the president and owner of the company Sunshine Chips, he notices that the president’s oldest son, in line to become the new president, is consistently being given tasks by the father that undermine his ability to act independently and make decisions. This case presents the difficulties that take place while conducting several factory purchasing tours in Asia, and the implications for the future structure of the business.
