Abstract
The case discusses the issue of governance, management processes and other challenges faced by an agricultural business firm, Bengal Tiger Agro Industries Limited. The firm imports, formulates and repackages items used in agriculture, such as insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, miticides and fertilizer; and, markets and sells those under trade names. Major organizational problems have arisen in the firm caused by improper financial governance from lack of appropriate documentation and accountability. Such issues are further aggravated by misconduct of a shareholder and concerned employees. The company is facing continuous net losses in the face of these ethical issues and its deviation from business norms and policies. Company management has realized their flaws and taken necessary actions against the wrongdoer. However, the most demanding task is to manage the crisis and steer the company’s wheels for better performance in the future.
