Animal Welfare in Bangladesh and the Role of Obhoyaronno

Abstract

This case highlights the current status and legality of animal welfare in Bangladesh and the role of an organization, Obhoyaronno (OB), striving to change it. By examining the legal standpoint of animals (both stray and domesticated) in Bangladesh, the case stresses the prior practices and reforms OB have initiated. However, being a not-for-profit organization, OB are facing challenges, including operations and sustainability.
