Abstract
This short case engages beginner students in basic economic analysis as they evaluate the post-pandemic global housing boom. With some analysts fearing that the current rise in housing prices will result in a financial crash, this case asks students to ground their analysis in history by comparing the current trend to the housing bubble that preceded the 2008 financial crisis and by drawing out the similarities and differences.
