Chapter 16: Scene Development
Many writers—particularly those who are new to Entertainment–Education writing—find it a challenge to know how to divide the various episodes into scenes, so that all plots are moving forward at an appropriate pace, and so that the messages come in naturally at the appropriate times.
The preparation of the full plot synopsis, as described in Chapter 12, is a good beginning, allowing the writer to ensure that all stories develop and that all messages are covered.
The following guidelines can be of assistance to those new to the Entertainment–Education drama serial format.
