About the Author
Jeanette M. Daly graduated from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois, with a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a master of science in medical-surgical nursing. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Iowa with a PhD in nursing administration. Currently, she works as Geriatric Nurse Researcher in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Iowa. Her research interests are care plan use in long-term care, elder abuse, nursing interventions, and geriatric functional assessment. Formerly, she was Chairperson at Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. She has been Patient Care Manager on an acute care surgical unit and Director of Nursing in long-term care.
