What is Write Dance?

Write Dance is a handwriting methodology and method designed for all children in primary and early years education, including those children with special educational needs, learning difficulties or disabilities. Write Dance tries to teach children to write, starting from their own emotions and natural movements, giving it their own ‘swing’. Creating movements from their own emotions is of prime importance. A good shape, a ‘beautiful’ letter, cannot be created until the basic movement is smooth and flowing and performed with enough self-confidence. For example, Write Dance encourages children to feel what a letter ‘o’ is like, to hear it and experience it before they actually begin to write it.
