Introduction
So far in this book we have considered what previous research has shown us about the relationship between talk and writing. We have looked at how undertaking research can help you in your role, whether as a class teacher or otherwise involved in working in schools. We have also looked very carefully at how the three different strategic elements of talk worked with children in the classroom. We have examined how this talk can come through in their writing and we have also reported what children told us about what they think about writing. For the final chapter, the focus turns to the teacher.
