“This is a significant book... for a multitude of audiences, including scholars, practitioners, students, expatriates, travelers, and those who are simply interested in culture... This book is also an ideal reference tool, since the metaphors are easy to remember yet rich in contextual value and are presented in a logical structure for quick consultation. What We've Learned
In this part of the book we emphasize what we have learned from this in-depth exploration of 29 national cultures, two continents, diversity as represented by India but implicitly by at least 90% of the world's nations, and the extension of cultures across national borders as represented by the example of the Chinese. We integrate this part, which consists of only one chapter, through the use of the frameworks described in Chapter 1. In this fashion we can provide an integrative summary that takes into account the great amount of material presented throughout the book.
