Mr. G is an 85-year-old childless widower who for 44 years was a successful salesman for a major drug firm. He has been retired for 25 years, owns his own home, has a comfortable pension, and at one time had considerable savings and investments. His large home is badly in need of repairs, the result of a lack of attention over the past 15 years due to Mr. G's falling health. The home is located in an area once considered a good neighborhood and now known for drug dealing and prostitution.
