In this chapter we look at the first of the three divisions of awareness which our model of the primary consciousness covers, namely awareness of the surrounding world, hence the RWM. I shall concentrate on those aspects that are highlighted by our biological approach – such as the key role of movement in the processes of sensory perception – and I shall confine myself to the most powerful of the senses contributing to the brain's world model, namely the visual perception of the world, our main window on the world.
