Amulticultural approach to violence considers multiple cultural variables that operate in the origin, manifestation, and dynamics of violence on the level of the individual, family, organization, and society while appreciating both historical and sociocultural influences. Hence, these multiple cultural variables may be derived from the social context or from the personal characteristics and experiences of those either perpetrating or being victimized by violence.
