59.1 The Instrument and its Administration
Team Effectiveness Scale consists of 30 items. Each item has two extreme poles. The respondent is required to rate each item on a 5-point scale.
In developing the instrument, a group of health administrators read some relevant literature on the characteristics of effective team and discussed their experiences about team effectiveness. Then they generated items for the proposed scale. After review and discussion, 30 items were selected and edited.
The scale contains 30 bipolar items, each with a 5-point rating scale. The respondent reads an item and rates it by encircling one of the numbers to indicate his assessment of that aspect. Thus, there will be 30 encircled responses for a respondent, one for each aspect. ...
