44.1 The Instrument and its Administration
The Opinion Survey of Organisational Conflicts (OSOC) has been prepared to help managers examine their styles of conflict management and take steps to improve their effectiveness to manage conflicts.
OSOC contains 24 statements, three for each of the eight styles of conflict management, four avoidance styles and four approach styles. The respondent is required to read each statement and indicate how strongly he agrees with it using a 5-point scale.
