40.1 The Instrument
TSI-N gives data about 12 transactional styles and effectiveness of 6 transactional functions of nurses. The instrument contains 48 items. The details of the development of the instrument are discussed elsewhere (Saxena, 2000). For administration of the instrument, its conceptual framework, scoring and use for HRD, the section in Chapter 35 may be looked at.
Analysis of responses from 50 nurses showed Alpha, Guttman split-half and Lambda values as 0.88, 0.83 and 0.88, respectively.
