Regular sport participation and physical activity (SPPA) is widely accepted as an effective way to mitigate the risks of chronic diseases, obesity, and premature death. Lifestyle choices, in particular health-related behaviors like physical activity, smoking, and alcohol use, are recognized as important non-medical determinants of health.
