Introduction

In your conceptual modelling process, you are focusing on the key dimensions and boundaries of your research. These dimensions will be based on a number of main constructs or construals (specific theoretical concepts under study) as well as some subconstructs. The operationalization of these research constructs is carried out by defining the measurement of these same constructs. This process entails the clarification of the explanatory content and reasoning behind each construct as well as the definition of research variables and measurement items to be utilized for the operationalization of the constructs included in the research model.
