In this chapter, there will be a heavy emphasis on ISLLC (2008) Standard 5. Standard 5 states, “An educational leader promotes the success of every student by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.” The Educational Leadership Constituents Council (ELCC) Program Standards (National Policy Board for Educational Administration, 2009), which support the ISLLC standards, has identified five components that assist students who are preparing to become practicing administrators.
