Chapter 1 described the approach of the book to meeting the needs of all learners, and completing an audit of learners’ needs. The audit (Figures 1.1.and 1.2) enables you to prioritise the needs of the learners you encounter and to identify the starting point to achieving a more inclusion friendly classroom. Chapters 2, 3 and 4 have outlined the essential approaches to developing inclusive teaching strategies. These are based on supporting difficulties with motivation, memory and communication.
