The preceding chapters focused predominantly on processes of families, the individuals within them, and the nurse interacting with them. The topics of this chapter pose a still greater challenge to the researcher, namely, an expansion of the phenomenon to the environmental systems level. Basic questions to be addressed here include the following: What is the nature of the community life process? How does the community life process interface with individuals? How does the community life process interface with families by way of their members?
