Warm-Up Activity – ‘Copycats’

In this game the facilitator can start the activity by producing some kind of action, e.g. handclapping, tapping, stamping of feet, making actions or mimes in the air. The rest of the group are required to follow these actions. When the facilitator shouts ‘Pass’, the movements move to the person on his or her left-hand side. That person then has to start making movements themselves and the rest of the group have to copy. The idea here is to make the movements as complicated and quick as possible so as to ensure that everyone in the group is really concentrating and listening properly.
