Problem-Solving Using Traffic Lights
In this game the facilitator can lay out a few hoops or draw chalk circles – whatever is appropriate within the classroom context. The hoops are described as islands within a shark infested area. The students are asked to walk around the hoops, not standing still or hanging around. The facilitator then shouts out ‘sharks’ and all the students have to take refuge in a hoop. Any children who are caught by the shark (one child nominated by the facilitator to travel around and tap children on the side) are then out of the game.
