Investars, Inc. was founded in 1999 in Hoboken, New Jersey. At the time, it was called Netologic, Inc. It provided financial analysts and their customers with analyses of stocks ratings, statistical comparisons, and other quantitative data related to financial instruments. Over time, Investars moved into other, more sophisticated financial services areas. Among other things, it questioned the value of the advice provided by many of the top brokerage firms and developed a method of measuring the value of that advice. At the time of this writing, Investars had grown in size and importance and had established its main office in New York City.
