Areas of working practices that are liable to cause the support worker stress are examined in more depth with some practical suggestions on how to avoid stress and discord in the working day.

The work of the effective support worker cannot exist in isolation. To work to your maximum potential you will need close contact with and effective strategies for the pupil/s you support and you will need to relate to others whose roles overlap your own.
