Data handling in the National Curriculum and NNS includes several different areas: sorting and matching; collecting, processing and interpreting data; statistics and probability. Although data handling as a separate attainment target (Ma4) begins at Key Stage 2, it exists in Key Stage 1 hidden at the end of Number (Ma2) and integrated into the Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage (CGFS).
