In Chapters 5 and 9, we presented a methodology to measure the fit between CLT and CEO behavior in each country. The methodology used two different but related aspects of fit and created a fit index. We then showed the relationship between the fit index and CEO effectiveness. We showed that the Gestalt Fit between CEO behavior and culturally endorsed implicit leadership theory (CLT) predicts CEO effectiveness in terms of Top Management Team (TMT) Dedication and in terms of the firm's competitive performance.
