Leadership Effectiveness across Cultures: The Linkage with CEO Behaviors

This chapter presents our empirical evidence regarding CEO leadership behavior and effectiveness across cultures. As indicated in Chapter 4, data were obtained from more than 1,000 CEOs and 5,000 top management team (TMT) members located in 24 countries across the world. The leadership behaviors are actual CEO behaviors that are reported by TMT members. The outcome measures were obtained from different TMT members than those reporting the CEO leadership behaviors (the exception is the presentation of same source results for comparison purposes in Table 8.2a).
