In a 2014 Newsweek article, Louise Stewart stated that, “Ten years from now, primary and secondary education may look more like a scene from Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause than Ben Stein’s economics class in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” While I couldn’t agree more, I think we need to anticipate this change occurring a lot sooner than the ten-year mark suggested by Stewart. Classrooms across the country are already turning into studios, workshops, and makerspaces.
