You have thus far been introduced to eight women who have obvious strengths and abilities, not only to transcend losses but also often to triumph over them. But in the previous chapters, we have only summarized their lives, faith, and coping styles. How did they manage? What themes of spiritual resiliency emerge from the interviews of women in both countries?
Reading, rereading, and coding our data confirmed the importance of a category of spirituality that was voiced repeatedly during the interviews: Christian community.
