Working in Educare

In this chapter the following questions will be considered:

  What differences do we make to children's lives?

Our present working lives are influenced by a variety of legislation. Although each has a separate focus they do complement each other. The key themes are that all children are able to access education and care provision. There are minimum Ofsted standards for all provision. Parents' views are crucial to inclusion for all children. Children's views should be recorded whenever possible. There should be early identification of additional needs with early intervention to prevent further or increased difficulty.
