You may be wondering why this chapter and this guiding coalition (GC) meeting are located here instead of at the very front of the book. While the placement may seem counterintuitive, it is based on my years of experience working with school teams. In 2002, I became Administrator of the Riverside County School Leadership Center of the California School Leadership Academy (CSLA), a statewide network providing professional development for new and aspiring administrators and school leadership teams.
