Current Status and Future Directions
In the preceding chapters I have described the goals, methods, and outcomes of school-based prevention in several different areas. In this chapter, I attempt to synthesize this information in order to reach some general conclusions and to discuss future directions. My general conclusions are presented first, followed by discussion of some methodological guidelines for future research. In the last section of the chapter, I offer a few suggestions and predictions about future work.
