There must be fundamental change in the operation of schools that are organised along traditional lines if they are to survive for more than a few years in the 21st century. This change must be so pervasive and so deep that it amounts to the operation of ‘a new enterprise logic’. Identifying its major features and illustrating its practice are the major purposes of Part B, as set out in Chapters 7 to 11.
