This chapter offers:

  • Activities that can be used in a half day INSET session or twilight sessions with staff
  • A brief overview of best practice in training in this area
  • Accompanying notes for staff which can be copied and handed out to participants in the training session

The activities are a sequence of sessions that can either precede the whole-school audit (see Chapter 3) or can be carried out as a response to the needs identified in the audit.

The promotion of emotional health and well-being is a whole-staff responsibility and therefore all staff within the school including administrative staff are helpfully involved in professional development activities.
