Using Prevention Groups in Real-World Settings
In this chapter, we will look at five short learning exercises. Each exercise may be adapted for individual reflection or as a classroom activity. First, I describe a group prevention problem, and then ask how the reader would solve the stated problem. Finally, a discussion follows, giving an example of how each prevention problem could be solved and why such a solution would be effective and in keeping with group prevention theory.
