The externalizing or Disruptive Behavior Disorders (DBD) (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD], Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Conduct Disorder) (American Psychiatric Association, 1994) are among the most prevalent, persistent, and vexing of the early childhood problems referred to children's mental health centers.
